When I was 6, my father gave me the first rod and spinning reel, since then I have been a passionate fisherman and have discovered fascinating places doing what I love most. On my 16th birthday, I get my first fly fishing rod, from that moment I knew this was the kind fishing I want to do for rest of my life.
I am a lucky man, as had the chance of learning from great teachers all the secrets of freshwater fishing and casting techniques, in 2006 I was invited by Avalon owners to fish Cuba, to fish on their marine parks, and could not believe my eyes with the first tarpon I jumped, this is one of the scenes that will keep on the deepest of my mind.
From then on, I have visited different saltwater destinations and fished tarpons, permit, bonefish, jacks, snooks and some of the most challenging saltwater species. I will be happy to share my experiences and advice any angler interested in fishing fresh or saltwater places
